Young Bean is the 4th episode of Season 2 of the Animated Series.

Synopsis

When did Bean first meet his teddy bear? Did he really learn to drive his Mini at the age of ten? Could he possibly have known his battle-axe of a landlady when she was a sweet and blushing bride? Bean takes us on a journey into the past, answering these questions and giving us an inkling as to what made him the man he is today.

Plot

Mr. Bean stole a slice of Mrs. Wicket's chocolate cake without her permission, he runs away but ends up hiding in the attic. So Mr. Bean saw the things in his trunk, the first thing he found is a brown bag he used to wear as a kid and he found a panda plushie's head.

Mr. Bean's flashback shows Young Bean holding 2 stuffed animals (Teddy and the Panda), he saw the young thieves playing ball and they ask him to "borrow" his stuffed animals and 3 of them start fighting causing one of the stuffed animal (The Panda)'s head to rip off. Both of them got Teddy and one of them throw the panda's body to a lake. Young Bean was enraged and plans for revenge by using his dad's clothes, making long sticks as his feet and his hands to disguise as a tall man.

Back to the park, the two thieves are about throw Young Scrapper of the lake by stuffing him to a sack. Before they throw him, The Tall Man (Young Bean ;in Disguise) appears and asks them where is Teddy and both of them admit it that they were the ones who stole it, After they return Teddy, he scares them away by roaring at them. Eventually, Young Scrapper got out of the sack and tries to bite the tall man's feet, but he didn't know that it's wood. Young Bean walks out of the park and the driver of the Reliant Regal looks at him for a while, but he wasn't looking where he is going and accidentally crashes into a bush.

The next scene shows Young Mrs. Wicket and Mr. Wicket sitting on a bench outside of her apartment. Mr. Wicket ask her if she will marry him, before she can even answer, he saw Young Bean caging Young Scrapper. She ask him who is in the cage and Young Bean tells her not to open it because he will bite. She opens the cage anyway and when Young Scrapper is about to attack her, she tamed him. Young Bean was confused of how she calm him down, Mrs. Wicket adopted Scrapper and Mr. Wicket was devastated and leaves. When he was driving his car, Young Bean is behind him inside a cage pretending he is the one driving.

At the end of the flashback, Mr. Bean sees his toy car (which is a mask).

Another flashback shows Young Bean walking with his mom and he suddenly saw his future car next to Young Irma and she falls in love with him. Young Bean dangerously crossed the street causing cars to almost crash. Young Irma tries to kiss Young Bean but he ignore her. Later, Young Bean ask his mom if she could buy a car for him but his mom leaves and Young Bean clings a side mirror causing it to break.

Few Days later, Young Bean opens his Christmas present and inside of it is a toy car that looks exactly like the car that he always wanted. He goes to his room and tries to put the mirror in the toy car but it was too big but he has an idea. He created his DIY car and drives with his mask on.

The next scene shows Mrs. Wicket and Mr. Wicket's wedding and they are about to take a wedding picture but Young Bean runs all of them over. Mrs. Wicket lands to Mr. Wicket's torso causing almost all of his bones to crack. Mrs. Wicket starts ranting on Young Bean and Scrapper lands on the camera causing to snap a messed-up wedding photo and the wedding props are in the attic at the end of Mr. Bean's flashback.

After Mr. Bean realizes that he's the one responsible for crashing the wedding party of Mrs. Wicket, he tries to return the chocolate cake slice but ends up getting caught by Mrs. Wicket after he insulted Scrapper for pushing the plate. The episode ends with Mrs. Wicket pulling up her sleeves, and screaming out "Right...Right! RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!" at Mr. Bean. This causes the birds outside the apartment to fly away from her loud screaming.

Trivia

• This episode reveals why Mrs. Wicket is aggressive towards Mr. Bean, because he ruined her wedding.
• It is revealed that Mr. Bean used to have two stuffed animals.
• This is the only episode where the Reliant's driver is shown although only his young self is shown.
• In reality, Scrapper would've suffered serious illness from eating chocolate, since they're poisonous to cats.
• It is revealed that Mr. Bean loved Minis as a kid.
• It is revealed that The Thieves were Mr. Bean's childhood bullies.
• The scene when Mr. Bean as a kid accidentally pulls off the left door mirror of a Mini may be a hidden joke because back in the 50's/60's, some cars didn't have left door mirrors at all.
