Viral Bean is the 14th episode of Season 2 and 66th episode overall of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series. It was first broadcast on September 4, 2015 on CITV, along with "Super Spy", "Scout Bean", "Back to School" and "Lord Bean".
This episode has two official uploads on YouTube, both on official channel and Mr. Bean World channel. Both uploads masses of 5.5 million views in total with the second upload being the highest viewed.
Synopsis
Mr. Bean becomes a famous internet sensation.
Plot
Mr. Bean wants to read his book but he hears Wicket's screams so he goes down to her room, realising that he doesn't believe it. Bean sees Wicket watching her favourite wrestling show and he tells her he's trying to read, to which Wicket tells Bean to get out of her room. Bean then leaves for the park so he can read his book in peace but can't because two boys are loudly playing their video games. Outside a library, a baby is crying loudly and his mother doesn't do anything other than playing with her phone, annoying Bean. So Bean goes inside the library so he can have peace and quiet. The librarian shushes Bean loudly and angrily when he says, "Ahhh, peace!" too noisily, to which Bean is happy because he can finally read his book in peace. Suddenly, he hears Bruiser Jr. laughing so he shushes him, but Bruiser Jr. ignores him and continues laughing. The librarian goes to Bruiser Jr. and kicks him out for making too much noise. Bean can finally read his book but can't because the headphones are emitting noises from the video. Bean looks at the video and sees a boy dancing while listening to music. Just like Bruiser Jr., Bean starts laughing just as the video ends. So Bean presses a button and a video of a man throwing his toy plane plays. But the toy plane hits him from behind, and Bean laughs. Bean sees the number of viewers increasing so Bean decides to make his own viral video. When the video starts recording, Bean introduces himself and makes funny faces; he then uploads the video. Bean sees that his video only has a few viewers so he stays there for the entire day and sleeps, hoping the viewers will increase.
Bean then records again just as the librarian shushes him one last time, kicks him out for the first time, and throws his book at the back of his head. Annoyed, Bean leaves only to hit his head on to a metal pole. Bean then leaves the other way only to hit a postbox. Dizzy, Bean hits the metal pole again and the video of his predicament is uploaded; the number of viewers increase drastically. At the park, the two boys recognise Bean as the man in the viral video and they laugh at him. A tall and skinny white brown-haired garbageman who is all alone calls Bean and hits his head on the nearby pole, just like in Bean's video and gives Bean a thumbs up. Confused, Bean gives him a thumbs up as well and goes home.
The next day, Bean goes outside to get the newspaper and the milk bottle just as a group of paparazzi picture him. Scared, Bean returns inside and reads the newspaper discovering that the viral video of him has reached 350,000,000 views. Wicket then greets Bean good morning and gives him a cup of tea but Bean flees back to his room. Bean watches TV and sees that the viral video of him is in the news; he is happy that his video was a success. Bean proudly goes down and signs an autograph for Wicket. Bean goes outside and greets the paparazzi. He hits his head to the wall just as Wicket appears behind him, wanting to be in the photos. Bean goes to the restaurant just as the paparazzi appear and picture him. Bean asks the paparazzi if they can move out of the way so he can eat in the restaurant just as the restaurant owner shoos them and greets Bean. The owner brings Bean to his table just as the other customers look at Bean. Bean sits on a seat under the stairs but the owner tells him to sit on the seat on a platform. The owner gives Bean a bowl of seafood with shrimps on the upper part and shells on the lower part, for free. Bean starts to eat but fans keep asking for an autograph, preventing him from eating. So Bean, annoyed leaves the restaurant. He runs away when a fan notices him. Bean returns to the park so he can read his book. Suddenly, the fan from outside the restaurant earlier comes out of the trash can, asking for an autograph. Bean then flees from him and the group of paparazzi, who pursue him. He hides in the restroom to avoid them. Bean reads his book in a cubicle just as fans suddenly surround him, forcing him to flee through the window. Bean continues running from the paparazzi and he sneaks in through a window to avoid them. He lands back to the library just as the librarian greets him asking for an autograph by saying, "Bean?" off-screen smiling. Suddenly, the paparazzi find him and they pursue him once again. Bean deletes his viral video and he wakes up from his nightmare. Bean sees that the video is showing his first attempt, and he feels relief when his viral video was just a dream. The librarian tells Bean angrily in a calm voice to leave to which Bean happily does so by saying, "With pleasure." in his head, realising that the librarian won't be seen anymore. Bean heads back home, saying hi to the mother, the baby, and the two boys in the park, who are all busy with their phones. Bean greets the lonely garbageman one last time and he accidentally hits the post nearby, making him laugh at Bean.

- The bowl of shrimps and shells served to Bean in the restaurant is a reference from his meal in Mr. Bean's Holiday in a restaurant in Paris.
- Whenever the post gets hit by Mr. Bean's nose, the white garbageman would only laugh at him.
