The Photograph is the 50th episode of Season 4 and 102nd episode overall of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
Airport staff refuse to let Mr. Bean take a flight, as his passport has no photo, so Bean attempts to make a new one. His attempts to do so fail: he panics in the photo booth, causing the pictures to be ruined, and he is unwilling to wait in the queue for another try; he photobombs at a tourist's Polaroid camera but the picture is ripped in a fight with the photographer; off site, he rides a rollercoaster, but in the ride photo his face is obscured by his tie. At a final attempt, Bean proceeds to trigger a speed camera, but he is caught trying to dismantle the camera and arrested by two nearby police officers. After being released from the police station, Bean puts his mugshot in his passport and the airport staff member accepts it, but then says his flight already departed 20 minutes earlier, much to his dismay.
Plot[]
The episode starts at the airport where Bean is lining up in a queue to the check-in. It is Bean's turn now, so the check-in staff asks for Bean's flight ticket and passport. Bean hands over his ticket and his passport; unfortunately Bean's passport has no photo so he is refused entry. The staff asks for the next passenger while Bean is annoyed because he could not enter. Bean needs to make a new photo, so he goes to the photo booth where there is a person taking their photo so Bean has to wait. The man leaves so it is now Bean's turn. In the photo booth, Bean pays £5 and waits for the photo to be taken but it takes too long. So Bean combs his hair whilst the photo booth takes his photo. Secondly, the booth takes another photo when Bean picks his comb up. Thirdly, the booth takes another photo when Bean angrily tells it to not take photos at an inconvenient timing. For the last time, the booth takes another photo when Bean combs his hair again. Bean comes out of the booth and sees all of his photos ruined and not done properly. So Bean does it again when an elderly lady goes to the photo booth; he then sees a long queue to the booth.
Bean plans to edit the photo, so he sits on the bench near a shop called Silcock & Weller Stationers. He rips the photos and tapes them together. Bean returns to the check-in desk and presents his passport to him. He makes his face the same as photo he made, however the check-in staff still denies him entry. Bean sees four tourists and one of them is holding a Polaroid camera, so Bean photobombs when he takes a picture of them in front of a London poster. Bean snatches the photos from the father, but the father snatches it back. They fight for the photo, tearing it in half in the process. Bean sees that the tourist has the other half that shows his face, so Bean tries to take it from him, but he tells him to scram.
Bean escapes in a taxi and sees a fairground and there is a roller coaster that has a camera to take photos of the riders. Bean tells the taxi driver to stop at the funfair and Bean pays the fare. He enters the fairground and sees a father and his son buying a photo of them at the booth for £5. Bean rides the roller coaster so the camera can take a photo of himself. Bean combs his hair when the roller coaster starts running; the camera takes the photo. He goes to the booth to buy the photo, only to realise that his face is partially covered by his tie, so he throws the printed photo in the bin. Bean leaves the fairground when a car speeds past him, shocking him. Then a speed camera captures the speeding car. Bean approaches the camera and leaves his suitcase there. He then runs to the camera (along the way he combs his hair) only to get tired when he gets closer to it. Bean then opens his suitcase and ties up his underpants to make a slingshot ride; the camera captures the speed of the suitcase as it moves. Bean returns to the camera to search for his picture, so he climbs up the camera to dismantle it. Unfortunately, he gets caught by two police officers who arrest him for dismantling the camera. At the police station, the police take a photo of Bean for their records. Bean realises they are holding a camera, so he combs his hair. After being released from the police station, Bean puts his mugshot in his passport and the airport check-in staff finally accepts it. Unfortunately, the airport check-in staff member tells Bean that his flight had already left 20 minutes ago, infuriating Bean

Trivia[]
- The fun fair seen in this episode was the same fun fair as seen in the episode "Coconut Shy" from the same season. The only difference is that in this episode, this fun fair was shown during the daytime, whilst in the episode "Coconut Shy" it was shown in the evening.
