Mr. Bean wakes up on a freezing cold winter’s morning to discover that the boiler is broken and no sign of the repairman.
Plot[]
It is a freezing winter's day and a bird slips on a frozen bird bath when it lands on it. Bean is on his bed, covering himself with his blanket because it was so cold. He gets his hot water bottle, but it is frozen. Bean gets out of bed while still covering himself with his blanket. He looks out of the window and sees the snow outside. Bean gets all his casual clothes from his closet and wears them simultaneously to keep himself warm. He goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth, but his toothpaste is frozen. Bean smashes the toothpaste using his toothbrush which sends the frozen toothpaste flying towards the wall, breaking it. He hits the frozen toothpaste against the sink, but it is still frozen, so he throws it away. Bean puts his hot water bottle, toothbrush, and toothpaste on the kitchen sink. Then he puts two slices of bread in the toaster. He makes tea, but the water is also frozen. So Bean gets the ice from the hot water bottle to put in his kettle. Bean turns on the kettle and the toaster throws the bread onto Bean's hands, but they are too hot. However, Bean is able to tolerate the heat of them and he uses them to warm his face. Bean puts the bread on the plate and he cuts the butter, but it was frozen. So he hammers the butter on the table, but nothing happens. So Bean scrapes the butter on the bread. The hot water is ready and Bean puts it in the teapot. He wears a winter hat. Bean puts the toothpaste in the hot tea and it is no longer frozen, so Bean can finally brush his teeth. He puts the ice in his mouth so he can gurgle it. Bean puts the hot water inside the hot water bottle and he wears a strap so it cannot fall off.
Bean leaves his room, but he is too wide so he forces himself out, only to end up falling down the stairs. He knocks Wicket's room. Inside, she and Scrapper are sleeping and relaxing from the heater and the several hot water bottles. Bean enters her room and says "good morning" and asks why it is so cold. Wicket says the boiler is not working and she tells Bean he is letting the heat out. Bean gets a telephone directory and calls a plumber, but he cannot because his phone is also not working. Wicket tells Bean to close the door on his way out. Bean sneaks back inside when he hears Wicket snoring. He tries to take a hot water bottle, but Wicket gets surprised and wakes up but goes back to sleep. Bean takes one hot water bottle and tries to take the other one when Wicket pets him, thinking that he was Scrapper. She then wakes up when she realises she is petting Bean. Angry, she tells Bean to get out. He tries to reason to her that it's cold but she tells him to leave anyway. Wicket throws a book and closes the door. Looking at the book, Bean sees that it shows an electric heater that costs £20, so he tears the photo.
Bean leaves the house, but he slips because the floor is slippery. He sees that the hot water bottle is melting the ice, so he attaches them on two brooms to melt the ice easily; Bean can safely leave. Bean goes to his Mini, but the padlock is frozen and jammed, so he cannot unlock it. He blows air into the lock to warm it up and draws Teddy on his window. He kisses the drawing of Teddy but his lips get stuck. A woman nearby looks at him shocked. Bean pulls his lips from the frozen window and he successfully unlocks the padlock. Bean starts his Mini and sets the heating temperature to the highest mark, but it is still cold. He starts his Mini but it breaks down. So he takes a garden rake and two wooden boards from the Bruisers' house. He ties the two wooden boards on his shoes and he makes a makeshift ski. Bean "skis" down the street while two girls look at him weird. He sees a truck with a snowplough, so he lassoes the tie on its rear part so he can move faster. The truck's warning alarm goes off and small particles of snow are thrown towards Bean's face. The truck turns left, releasing Bean from the tie and causing him to run through a snowman.
Later, Bean returns to the Bruisers' house and takes their grill, rope, and more wooden boards. He attaches them to his Mini, so he can make his own makeshift snow plough. Bean drives off and he says goodbye to the woman earlier. While Bean is driving, he leaves a small pile of snow in the Reliant's way, causing the blue car to get stuck in it. Bean arrives at Havlotts, while pushing the snow that covers an indigo SUV just in front of him. A woman exits the store and sees her SUV covered in snow. Bean goes inside and the employee tells him to move so the doors can close because the heat is going out. He shows the employee the electric heater that he wants to buy but, much to Bean's dismay, they are all sold out. Bean gets a kettle and he will make himself a cup of tea. He turns on the sink tap, but no water comes out, so he goes to the staff only restroom to get water and he sneaks out to make sure the employee does not see him. Bean heats the kettle and sits on the sofa to watch a racing game on TV. He gets an apple when the employee notices the kettle boiling water. She sees Bean sitting on the sofa so she tells him to leave, which Bean does so. When Bean leaves Havlotts, he slips on the snow causing him to bang against his Mini and causing the snow to fall on him. Bean furiously drives home. When he sees a plumber's van stuck in the snow, he offers to help her. He clears out the snow for the plumber's van as Bean arrives home. The plumber finally repairs the boiler and Bean and Wicket can finally get the heat they need. The plumber leaves and the door closes, locking Bean out. He tries to call Wicket but she is asleep, so Bean shivers from the cold.
