The Ball is the 7th episode of Season 2 of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
The Bruiser's accidentally swung their ball onto a gutter, so they ask Mr. Bean to get it for them. But it's a hard task, and Bean winds up into trouble!
Plot[]
Bruiser Sr. and Bruiser Jr. are playing tennis to which the father knocks the tennis ball to the net. The son snickers at his father in which his father tells him to stop laughing, and the son apologizes. Mr. Bean walks on the path and gets annoyed when he finds several trash on the ground, so he throws them to the bin. The ball lands near Bean, who madly throws it away, thinking it's another trash. Bruiser Sr. tells Bean to give him back the ball. Instead of simply walking over to them to give back the ball, Bean throws it to them to which he just hits the net wall. Bean throws the ball again but it just hits the top part of the net wall. Bean still doesn't go directly to them and give back their ball and now uses the rubber tire of the bicycle wheel, confusing Bruiser Sr. Bean attaches the rubber to the sign to use it as an improvised catapult. Bean shoots the ball so high it gets stuck on a drain pipe on the roof of a house.
Scared, Bean flees from the Bruisers, but gets confronted by the angry father, who furiously tells Bean to get the ball back. Bean rings the doorbell of a house and an elderly man with his pet gerbil answers the door. He explains to the elderly man that he lost his ball and asks him if he could go up to his roof. The elderly man lets Bean come in his house. Bean is at the window trying to reach the ball but he can't so he asks the elderly man if he could borrow his crutch. Bean uses the crutch to bang the pipe, but still can't do it. He sees a ladder nearby so Bean gets it while the window cleaner is taking a break. Bean climbs the ladder. Unfortunately, the window cleaner's break is over so he climbs the ladder. The elderly man's wife screams in fear when she sees Bean through the window. Her husband looks at the window and sees no one there. The window cleaner sees that the bucket is on a different window so he goes down the ladder to transfer it to that window. He realizes that the ladder has gotten heavier, not knowing that Bean is on it so he uses extra force to carry it. Bean goes down to the window where the bucket is, and inside is a woman getting her tan. Bean tries to open the window, but feels ashamed when he sees the woman getting her tan. The woman sees Bean, surprising him and making him fall to the ladder. With Bean gone, she tells him not to come back and closes the curtain.
Bean goes down the ladder but slides down back to the ground. Bean gets friction burns so he blows the burn off. Bruiser Sr. tells him go get back up, annoying Bean because he went through all those predicaments. Bean then takes the ropes off of the window cleaner's truck and returns to the elderly couple's house; he gives the elderly man flowers who then gives them to his wife. Bean has the rope attached to her bed and to himself, scaring her because it's pulling her bed to the window. Bean goes to the window to retrieve the ball. He blows the ball from the drain pipe and tries to reach it but a crow surprises him twice, causing him to lose his balance and pulling the bed closer to the window. The tan woman thinks Bean is going to jump off the building so she calls emergency services. The gerbil starts biting the rope. The fire department arrives and Bruiser Sr. covers his son's eyes, not wanting him to see what's happening. A fat fireman is on a lift that stops in front of Bean so he can rescue him. Bean does not want the fireman to rescue him because he needs to get the ball back. The lift moves closer to Bean just as the gerbil finishes biting the rope and it breaks, sending Bean falling to a trampoline. Bean bounces upwards and the fat fireman tries to grab him, but misses. Fortunately, Bean is now high enough to get the ball back, and the Bruisers are happy that Bean got their ball back. When Bean descends, the fat fireman grabs him but still misses again. The Bruisers can now play their game again and the ball bounces to the bin, just as Bean walks by. Bean searches for the ball in the bin, but accidentally grabs an egg instead. He throws the egg and at Bruiser Sr.'s face, making his son laugh when it hits him. Furious, Bruiser Sr. chases Bean.

- Two of the tanning lady's scenes were cut from Boomerang Asia: The scene where she angrily tells Mr. Bean to leave her alone and the scene where she calls the firemen on her phone. However, she made a cameo when the firemen arrived.
- The first lady's scene was also cut from the Boomerang France airing around 2016.
