Taxi Bean is the 26th episode of Season 4 of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
Mr. Bean is mistaken for a taxi driver after the driver of the taxi he is travelling in tries to get as much money as he can out of Bean by stopping for lunch at the petrol station.
Plot[]
Mr. Bean is playing with his slot-car racing set with Teddy when the yellow car accidentally flies off the track and to the chair. Bean gets it from the chair and puts it back on the track. Bean presses the green remote and the green car accelerates and hits the telly. So Bean continues using his yellow car and wins the race. But the green car breaks so Bean has to buy a new one. Mrs Wicket is going to leave just as Bean goes down acting like he's in a racing game and he uses Teddy as the steering wheel and walks past Wicket. Unfortunately, Bean's Mini has a nail in one of the tyres so he cannot drive it. A taxi then arrives, originally for Mrs. Wicket, but Bean decides to take the taxi himself. He tells the driver that he would like to go to the toy shop and the driver sets off. Bean asks the driver the price and the driver tells Bean the price is in the meter.
However, instead of going straight to the shop, the driver instead carries him all over the city in order to try and get as much money out of Bean as possible, even driving past Bean's house where Wicket is still waiting for the taxi and the toy shop itself which is named Tim Tom Toys. Bean points to the taxi driver that the toy shop is there but the driver ignores him. The driver then pulls over to the petrol station and locks the doors so Bean cannot get out, telling Bean that it's for "safety" reasons. The taxi driver refills the petrol tank while still keeping the taxi meter running. He then stops at a nearby cafe named O'Keeffe's Cafe to eat lunch. Bean tells the taxi driver to let him out and sees the taxi meter is still running so he opens the door separating the back and front part of the taxi and squeezes his way into the front of the taxi, turns the meter off, unlocks the doors, and turns the taxi sign on.
Bean is about to leave the taxi when an elderly man passing by gets inside the taxi thinking Bean is the driver and requests a ride to the library. Bean tries to explain the situation but decides to follow through and takes the man to his destination. The elderly man pays Bean the fare and he leaves the taxi when a woman enters the taxi and requests a ride to the bank and to be quick, Bean tries to explain that he's not the driver then looks at the cash the elderly man gave him and gives her a ride to the bank. Upon arrival to the bank the woman pays the fare and Mr Bean shows teddy the money he got and decides to go back to the petrol station.
Bean makes his way back to the petrol station and resets the fare meter and while the driver is still in the café, Bean prepares to have a talk to the taxi driver but before he could a tourist from America turns up asking Bean if he's the taxi driver. Remembering what had happened in the previous two passengers, Bean says that he is and the tourist says he has two hours to see London and asks if Bean is willing to join him to which he agrees. Bean lets the American tourist in the taxi and tours him all around London. He takes pictures of the tourist in front of the fountains, near Big Ben, at Tower Bridge, and in front of Buckingham Palace. Bean slips when he walks backwards and the Queen's Guard smiles in the photo as well; the American tourist laughs at Bean. The tourists asks Bean where the Queen is so Bean takes a pebble from the ground and throws it at the window. Queen Elizabeth II opens the curtains and shows herself; the American tourist pictures her just as she closes her curtains. The American tourist looks at his watch and realizes he's going to miss his flight so Bean brings him to the airport. At the airport, the taxi meter reads £256.45 which is a lot but the tourist doesn't mind and pays Bean the money. They then fist bump just as the tourist goes to the airport saying goodbye to Bean who does the same.
Bean heads back to the petrol station just as the driver finishes his food. Bean resets the meter and gets back into the backseat. The driver exits the cafe and burps loudly. He then returns to his taxi and brings Bean to the toy shop which is just around the corner, thinking that he will get a lot of money. However, he is shocked to see that the meter only shows 85 pence. Bean triumphantly pays the shocked driver the measly 85 pence fare and proudly leaves the taxi, while the driver, defeated and confused by being beaten at his own defrauding game, drives off. Bean enters Tim Tom Toys and buys a new larger slot-car racing set. Back home, Bean plays with his new set with Teddy.

- This is the second appearance of Big Ben. The first one was in Art Thief.
- This is the final episode in the DVD Mr. Bean Volume 9: Racing Adventures.
- This is the final episode to be aired in 2015. There will be no episodes for 3 months until Muscle Bean aired in January 4, 2016.
