Scaredy Bean is the 4th episode of Season 3 and 38th episode overall of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series.
Synopsis
Mr. Bean runs into a selection of movies. He finds in his dreams that he seeks help from Mr. Tiny to defeat the villains.
Plot
One evening, Mr. Bean goes to the theatre to watch a horror movie, Kat. He goes to the cashier and picks the movie Kat by acting like an aggressive cat, annoying her. Bean pays for the movie and receives the ticket. Inside the cinema, Bean sits beside Miss Wince. The movie starts with ominous pipe organ music, showing a giant castle that houses a giant laboratory. A mad scientist tells his assistant to activate the machine, which causes the cat to mutate into a monster, and scaring his assistant. Bean gets scared while Miss Wince laughs. The monster cat grabs a man and roars at him, frightened Bean runs away leaving his popcorn and the rest of moviegoers; but Miss Wince continues to laugh. She eats the popcorn left by Bean.
Outside, Bean runs away from the movie, frightened. The cashier laughs at Bean with pranks by imitating him earlier. Next, Bean watches the second horror movie, Glob. The movie starts with an alien spaceship arriving on Earth. Bean is eating a bowl of mashed potato. The twins are laughing, so Bean thinks the movie won't be scary. A multi-eyed alien blob exits from the spaceship, scaring the people as it grows bigger. Bean gets scared watching the movie. In the movie, everyone runs away except for the old lady who hides behind a lamppost. As the blob eats the old lady, Bean chokes on his spoon, scaring the twin girls. Bean spits out the spoon that ends up in the man's mouth, disgusting him. Bean, relieved, goes back to his seat. The blob spits out the skeleton of the old lady, frightening Bean and making him flee from the movie. It was a jumpscare scene in movie with skeleton of the old lady.
Then he goes to watch Mr. Tiny's movie. Inside the movie, Bean passes by the Bruisers and sits on his seat and removes his coat. The movie starts and Mr. Tiny slides on jelly and slides on the knife and sleeps using the napkin as a blanket. Bean falls asleep. While Mr. Tiny is asleep, a scary giant hornet approaches him, frightening him. Bean arrives home from the movie, relieved. He notices the dark cloud in the sky and he realizes he left his jacket at the theatre with the key to his house. Panicking, Bean goes to the sleeping Wicket and knocks on the window to wake her up so she can let him in. Scrapper transforms into a giant cat then goes back to normal, and Bean is relieved. Wicket wakes up and brings her milk bottle out. Bean approaches her and causes her to scream in fright. Wicket transforms into the Blob and tries to suck Bean; Wicket as Blob eats his Mini and is about to eat Bean but she transforms back to Wicket. Bean punches Wicket in rage, sending her towards the door; she transforms into the Blob and crawls back inside underneath the door. Bean gets shocked when he sees his Mini is back.
Bean tries to sneak into the movie to get his jacket. The cashier taps him and tells him to pay up. Bean replies that his jacket is inside and the cashier transforms into a scary giant hornet from the Mr. Tiny movie. The giant hornet grabs Bean and brings him into the movie. Mr. Tiny sees a pepper and pushes it to the nearby spoon; he jumps on the other end of the spoon, causing the pepper to hit the giant hornet, making it sneeze and causing it to drop Bean. Bean lands on the sugar cubes just as the hornet pursues Mr. Tiny; Bean throws the sugar cubes to the hornet. Bean and Mr. Tiny escape the hornet by going inside the Pop cereal box. Unfortunately, the giant cat from Kat approaches them. Then the alien spaceship from Glob arrives; Mr. Tiny tells Bean they should go to the spaceship but Bean tells him not to. Bean and Mr. Tiny jump behind the bush to hide from the giant cat; just as the Blob comes out of the spaceship. The giant cat is about to grab them but the Blob sucks it and eats it; it burps out Mr. Tiny's hat it sucked earlier. After eating the monster cat, the Blob goes back to its spaceship and flies away. With both monsters gone, Mr. Tiny goes to the H of the THE END sign and Bean goes to the N of the THE END sign but it falls down. Bean wakes up and realizes that everything was just a dream and that the movie is over. Bean leaves the theatre and goes home. Bean opens the door just as Wicket opens the door to put her milk bottle out. She gets frightened by Bean and inhales that sounds like she's going to transform into the Blob so Bean punches her. Furious at Bean for punching her, Wicket chases him.

Censorship
- In the Disney Channel Asia airings, the scene where Bean spits the spoon next to the man, as well as the Glob spitting the woman's skeleton, was cut due to its disturbing content. However, the latter scene was shown on Philippine TV network ABS-CBN, as well as Cartoon Network and Boomerang Asia.

- The movie Kat may be based on film adoptions of Mary Shelly's famed novel, Frankenstein.
- The episode was inspired by the cinema segment in "The Curse of Mr. Bean".
- This episode wasn't included as part of the series of Mr Bean: The Animated Series UK DVDs, but was made available as a bonus animated episode along with Art Thief and Haircut on Mr Bean: Volume 5 released by Universal Pictures Studios UK. It has remained widely available on streaming.
