Plot
It's morning and Mr. Bean starts the day by preparing breakfast. He adds water to the kettle so he can boil it. He presses the toaster but the lever keeps going back up so he hammers it to make it stay down. Bean opens the pantry and sees three mugs: a mug with a happy face, a mug with Teddy in it, and the Royal Mug with the Queen's face on it, which he chooses since it is his favorite. When Bean gets the toast, the lever goes up, sending the toast flying towards the Royal Mug, knocking it over and shattering it, causing Bean to scream in rage. So Bean has to buy a new one.
Bean goes to a store called Porse & Lane Mugs to look for a new Royal Mug. He goes to the store where the clerk is busy talking to her friend on the phone. Bean tries to get her attention but she's too preoccupied. So, he blows a paper bag and pops it next to her ear, finally getting her attention as the loud noise from the bag startles her and interrupts her phone call. Bean asks for a replacement Royal Mug but the clerk shows Bean that the store doesn't sell Royal Mugs anymore. Disappointed, Bean leaves. The clerk turns to the phone again but her friend has already hung up, much to her annoyance.
Outside, Bean sees a red truck that is carrying a lot of Royal Mugs, much to his delight. Bean follows the truck but the Reliant gets in his way. Bean is unable to overtake the Reliant because there are vehicles coming from the other lane. Bean then accelerates his Mini to overtake the Reliant, causing the blue car to swerve to the right and into the fountain, with water coming out from its exhaust pipe as the people look at it in confusion and take pictures. With the Reliant out of his way, Bean now follows the truck, nearly running over a Queen's Guard in the process.
Inside the Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II is playing her piano and happily singing a song. Her servant enters the room and serves her tea and a chew toy for her corgi. The servant squeaks the toy to call her corgi but it's nowhere to be found. Outside, one of her corgis is blocking Bean's way; the Queen faints. It doesn't move even though Bean, the Queen's Guards, and other people tell it to do so. The corgi then leaves and Bean can finally continue. Bean finally reaches the truck but, to his annoyance, he sees the traffic warden writing tickets as usual. So he parks his Mini inside the tent of two roadworkers. Outside of Buckingham Palace, Bean finally reaches the store and stops the corgi from grabbing Teddy. Bean finally reaches the Royal Mugs but the corgi snatches Teddy from him, forcing Bean to delay buying the mug and save Teddy from the corgi.
Bean goes through the door that says Private and realizes that he's now inside the Buckingham Palace. He spots the corgi near a armor stand and tries to get Teddy back but stops because he hears the servant squeaking the chew toy. Bean hides behind the armor stand so the servant won't spot him. When the servant leaves, Bean removes the disguise and resumes finding the corgi. The corgi comes out of the foot of the statue but the armor stand falls over because its other sabaton (part of an armor which is on the foot) is gone, causing a loud crash that alerts the servant, thinking that there's an intruder. Bean tries to fix the armor stand and flees from the servant. Bean corners the corgi in an alcove with a statue. The corgi continues barking which Bean shushes it. It then turns the statue's left arm upwards, which causes the wall behind Bean to open, then Bean falls inside. The corgi grabs Teddy and goes to the hole. The arm then goes back down. When the servant reaches the alcove, Bean and the corgi are gone, confusing him. Inside the dark room, Bean pursues the corgi and finds a lot of the Queen's things kept inside there. A chest opens, scaring Bean; inside is just a rat that squeaks at him and runs off, relieving him. The corgi drops Teddy, and Bean finally gets him back. Bean looks at the ladder and sees two eye holes for him to see. Through the eye holes of the Queen's corgi portrait, Bean sees the Queen vacuuming the floor. The corgi jumps at Teddy wanting to get him again and Bean loses his balance, causing the portrait to turn, scaring the Queen and sending Bean and the corgi out to the other side. Queen Elizabeth II is happy to have her dog back and Bean bows to her as a sign of respect; he introduces himself to her as Mr. Bean. Bean then looks at the Queen's Royal Mug and shows to her his broken Royal Mug. Later, the Queen rewards Bean with a new Royal Mug in which the Queen's portrait has a different facial expression. The servant hands a sword to the Queen and Bean is knighted.
