Plot
Mr. Bean is in a forest playing a toy plane with Teddy riding on it. Just then, a magpie appears and takes Bean's shiny car keys. When Bean notices the bird taking the key, he tries to shoo it but he can't because he has to control the plane. The bird successfully removes the keys, shocking Bean. Bean decides to use his toy plane to catch the magpie and retrieve his keys. The plane and the magpie hit the tree, and the magpie falls to the ground. Bean is worried because he may have killed the bird but the bird wakes up, to Bean's relief. The magpie, unfortunately, can no longer fly because one of its wings is injured. Bean puts the bird in his toy box so he can bring the magpie home to take care of it. When Bean takes the magpie home, a wing from his toy plane falls to the ground, panicking Bean because Teddy may have been hurt. He climbs the tree to retrieve Teddy and is relieved that Teddy is fine. Bean retrieves his key from the magpie's nest and he spots a tiara. He also takes it home.
At home, the left wing of the magpie is injured. Bean pulls out a plaster from the first aid kit and eats a banana-flavored popsicle (although the popsicle stick gets stuck in his mouth at first) so he can place the stick on the bird's wing. After Bean finishes bandaging the plaster on the bird's wings, it falls over because it's too heavy. Bean decides to let the bird walk down the books used as stairs but it won't. Bean puts a trail of crumpet crumbs on the books, on the floor, and on the couch for the magpie to eat. The bird drinks the water from the mug then Bean puts it on the bed he made for it. He opens the TV to show a man shooting with a machine gun so he changes the channel to show the Tower of London where it shows Queen Elizabeth II talking. The magpie likes her shiny crown so he changes the channel to show an owl that seems to follow the magpie's movements. The magpie, not liking the channel, changes back to showing Queen Elizabeth's crown which it likes. Bean goes to the kitchen to use his Pop cereal for the magpie to eat. When Bean sees the channel showing the Queen's crown, he changes it back to the channel showing the owl.
At night, Bean is now asleep and the magpie wakes up and removes the bandages. Its wings are now recovered so it can fly again. The bird sneaks out and spots Mrs. Wicket's shiny jewelry. Then she comes back inside with Scrapper following her through the pet door. The magpie sneaks to Wicket's room using the pet door Scrapper used to enter the house, just as she falls asleep. The bird takes her jewelry and the other neighbors' jewelry. Morning comes, and Wicket screams so loud because her jewelry are all gone, so loud that it wakes Mr. Bean out of bed. Bean goes back to bed, but then hears a siren, looks outside and sees a policeman enter the house. Wicket shows the police her empty jewelry box just as Bean comes down and shows them the tiara. Wicket and the policeman are now suspicious of Bean, suspecting him of stealing her jewelry. They enter the room and discover the jewelry are all on Bean's couch. With enough evidence of the theft, Bean is arrested. The magpie sees this and follows the police van.
In jail, Bean explains to the police that it was the magpie who took everything but he just laughs it off, finding it hard to believe. He then leaves and Bean is locked in. The magpie arrives and sees Bean. Outside, the policeman argues with the warden that she can't fine a police van but she retorts the she is just doing her job and tells him to move it. Angry, the policeman does so and places his keys on the lock and rips the ticket. Bean sees the policeman's car keys are shiny and points it to the magpie who then takes it. The policeman returns and sees the Bean has escaped, worrying him. He goes inside the cell and sees that Bean is just behind the door, enraging him. Bean reveals to the police that his handcuffs have been taken off, confusing the police. Above his head is the magpie holding the keys who places them to the jewelry stash it collected. Realizing that Bean was right and the bird was the true culprit, the surprised policeman frees him. Bean is now free from jail and gets home, but he sees that the bird has now stolen the Queen's crown and staff. Bean, scared that he will be arrested once again, but this time by the monarch, faints.
