Lord Bean is the 18th episode of Season 4 of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
Mr. Bean is in the library to read a book. He then stumbles upon an image showing a Royal Family tree. Inspired, Bean decides to take an empty sheet and draw Teddy's fictional family first. Then, he tries to draw his own but couldn't remember his family members but then an old lady shows him that he looks like a king named Lord Bean in the book she is reading. Bean heads from London to Scotland, where Lord Bean's castle is located, to explore. There, he accidentally discovers the secret places and as he finds the real identical Lord Bean, he gets him out.
Plot[]
Mr. Bean is at the library looking for a book to read. He finds the family tree of Queen Elizabeth II. Bean then gets a blank family tree and a marker and leaves Teddy on the table. Bean places the book on the table, shocking the elderly lady beside him, making her shush him; she shows Bean a silence sign. So Bean shushes Teddy just as the elderly lady giggles. Bean writes on the blank family tree but the marker makes squeaking noises when Bean writes on the paper, worrying Bean because he might get caught making noises. When Bean finishes drawing on the blank family tree, it is revealed he drew Teddy's family tree. So Bean makes his own family tree next; he only draws himself because he doesn't know his ancestors. The elderly lady shows Bean a man in the book who looks like him: Lord Bean. And Bean Castle is located in Scotland[1].
So Bean heads from London to Scotland, where Lord Bean's castle is located. Bean arrives at Bean Castle in Scotland. He knocks the door and the servant answers it. The servant wears his glasses and he faints in shock when he thinks Bean is Lord Bean. He then wakes up, happy that Lord Bean is back. The servant lets Bean in the castle and shows him the interior. The servant tells Ma Bean that Lord Bean is back. Ma Bean, at first, doesn't believe Bean is Lord Bean because Bean doesn't have Teddy. So Bean shows Teddy to her and she now believes Bean is Lord Bean and hugs him. Ma Bean tells Bean dinner's at 8. She tells the servant named Crumples to get Bean ready. Bean goes to the tub to bath but it's cold. Crumples offers Bean cold water but Bean declines because the water is already cold. At dinner, Bean and Ma Bean are served a bill that shows wages for Crumples whose price is £200, shocking Bean. Ma Bean tells Bean to pay because it's his responsibility. So Bean reluctantly pays Crumples £200. Crumples shows more bills for Bean to pay but Bean doesn't want to pay. Ma Bean tells Bean he is Lord Bean so he has to pay his bills and she shows him the castle is in bad shape and it needs repairs.
That night, Bean's stomach growls because he's hungry so he heads out to look for food. While Bean is exploring the castle, he bumps to Ma Bean who is white from the powder and her eyes are covered in cucumbers, scaring Bean and making him flee. After Bean flees, he leans on the bookshelf causing it to turn around and making Bean fall underground. Bean explores the underground that leads him to the caves. Bean continues exploring the area and he accidentally blows out the candle when he exhales, annoying him. Bean finds a way out of the caves and he finds the real Lord Bean, who is happy the Bean finally found him. Bean grabs Lord Bean, telling him that he's going home. Bean uses the trail of the candle's melted wax to go back to the basement of the castle. Back at the castle, Crumples tells the saddened Ma Bean that he can't find Bean. The real Lord Bean is reunited with his mother. But instead of thanking Bean for finding her son, Ma Bean accuses him of being an imposter. So she orders Crumples to kill him. Despite Lord Bean telling Crumples not to kill Bean, Crumples fires the crossbow that hits a portrait, forcing Bean to flee. Ma Bean tries to kill Bean herself while her son tries to stop her. Bean then escapes Scotland and returns home; the arrow fired by Ma Bean is in the rear part of his Mini. Bean is in his kitchen about to eat a sandwich and he denounces the idea of being a lord to Teddy.
