Plot
Mr. Bean and Irma are enjoying a day at the park together, enjoying some cool treats (an orange popsicle for Irma and a vanilla ice cream cone for Mr. Bean). Irma tries to make their date more romantic but is irritated that Bean cannot get to the point of what she meant. What became the last straw for Irma is that Mr. Bean tricks her into thinking he is gonna kiss her, only to realise that he ate her popsicle. This causes her to storm off in rage, leaving Mr. Bean confused, as what he did was only a joke.
While driving around town, Irma notices a marquee about a movie called "Love" at the cinema and wants to watch it with Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean wants to watch a violent movie like "Biff!", "Crash!", or "Bang!", but Irma wants to watch "Love". Irma begs Mr. Bean to watch "Love" with her and he reluctantly accepts. She gives him a ticket and reminds him not to be late as the movie starts at 8:00 p.m.
Back home, while Mr. Bean is busy ironing his pants, he becomes distracted by a TV show, which made him fall asleep for about an hour. Upon waking up, he realised what he did and hastily leaves to go to the cinema and meet Irma there. He arrives there and gives her a flower (which was cut by the door during his hasty exit). Inside the cinema, while Irma watches the movie through and through (even crying when the female lead was hospitalised due to a grave illness), Mr. Bean wasn't even interested in watching as he read some comics and later slept at the movie's denouement. Irma tries to alleviate his snoring first by placing Teddy on his face and later, stuffing two popcorn kernels on his nostrils, which finally wakes him up. Outside, they tried to take pictures from a photo booth. Once the pictures are taken, they show Mr. Bean doing some silly poses, which annoys Irma.
Later, at Restaurant La Cuisine, the two of them have dinner and when Bean is about to pay for the bill, he learns that he doesn't have any money and returns to his apartment to get his wallet. Unfortunately for him, the musician uses his own 20 pounds to pay the bill. Upon returning to the restaurant, Mr. Bean was too late as it is locked and he sees Irma and the musician dancing. After this, he witnesses Irma and the musician going to the car; he saw the Reliant Regal coming out who he mistook it for a car that Irma is in and pursues it at a junction. Then when Irma and the musician are about to kiss, their romantic moment is cut short when the Reliant slams into the musician's car at the back while trying to avoid a taxi cab. The musician, angered not because his date is interrupted but because his car is ruined, beats the Reliant's driver while Irma rides Mr. Bean's car, both of them laughing as they drive away.
