Plot
Bean is watching a horror movie in the cinema, but according to him, it's not interesting at all.
Mr. Bean is watching a Frankenstein movie in the theaters, but he isn't scared unlike the rest of the audience, so he leaves the movie. But as he goes outside, he sees a long queue to the movie he just left. Realizing that the movie is actually a success, he imagines himself receiving an award for his successful movie. So he attempts to make his own home movie. Arriving home, he uses the creaking noise of the gate as sound effects for the movie. Then, he checks his window. When he arrives at the door, Mrs. Wicket suddenly opens it, shocking him. Mr. Bean then checks her and goes inside. Inside his room, he pulls out a camera from his closet. Inside his kitchen, he removes tissue paper from the roll and tries to use it as an improvised megaphone but it's not loud enough so he throws it away. He then gets a pitcher and peels the lower part with a can opener. He says: "Action!", through the pitcher and it's loud enough so he decides to use it as an improvised megaphone. Then he is typing the movie script on his typewriter.
After several cups of coffee drunk later, Bean finally finishes writing the script of his home movie.
The next day, he finishes writing the script and his room is a mess after making several drafts, left empty plates on the floor and he drank coffee to stay awake. Then he drives to a costume shop to buy a costume. Later, he goes to Irma's house and wears gummy vampire teeth. Before ringing the doorbell, he tests hissing or Irma to see if she's scared. Then, he rings the doorbell and tries to scare her, but fails as she isn't scared at all. Mr. Bean tells Irma that he wants to make a movie with her and brings her to his flat. He shows Irma the plan of the movie and she draws a heart on the drawing of Mr. Bean and her, annoying him. Then he flips the page and shows a drawing of a haunted house and flips it again to show the Frankenstein's monster. Irma asks Bean if Teddy is the monster to which Bean tells her the monster is Mrs. Wicket. Irma likes that idea.
Mr. Bean and Irma presenting the plan and the story of the film to Mrs. Wicket, encouraging her to take part in it too.
Soon, Mr. Bean knocks at Mrs. Wicket's door and tells her they're making a film. He flips the page and tells her they want her to be the star. Impressed, Mrs. Wicket imagines herself as a successful celebrity with a bodyguard, so she accepts their offer. He then says: "Let's make movies!" through the pitcher which makes his voice louder. In his room, Mr. Bean takes out a photo of himself and cuts off the eyes to make it look like the eyes are moving while Irma puts makeup on Mrs. Wicket to make her look like Frankenstein's monster. Mr. Bean puts Teddy in a skeleton costume. Then in the kitchen, he presses on the lever of the rubbish bin that he can use for the movie. Outside, he pulls up a stone floor with a shovel and draws a skull and a spider there to make it resemble a gravestone. Mrs. Wicket now resembles Frankenstein's monster and she wants to look at herself in a mirror but Irma doesn't want her to look at the mirror so she grabs the mirror from her. Irma then puts a dryer on Mrs. Wicket's head. Outside, Mr. Bean attaches a rope to the rubbish bin and puts it in the ground below the stone floor. He pulls the rope to make the lid open and puts Teddy on the rubbish bin and puts ketchup on Teddy to resemble blood. After that, he buries Teddy by putting soil over him.
Bean and Irma filming a part of the movie in Julia's kitchen.
That night, Mr. Bean prepares his camera and goes to his Mini. He yells "Action!" through the pitcher at Irma's face. They then drive to the entrance. Bean yells "Cut!" through the pitcher at Irma. Meanwhile, the dryer is still on Mrs. Wicket's head. Later, Bean and Irma are in Mrs. Wicket's kitchen and Mr. Bean tells Irma to scream when she sees the monster. When he starts recording, Irma screams weakly, which Bean disapproves and tells her to scream like she's really scared. Irma laughs when Bean records again so he pokes her with a fork, and she screams in pain; Bean now likes her scream. Soon there's smoke coming out from Mrs. Wicket's room, and they realize they forgot to turn the dryer off. Irma turns the dryer off and Wicket's hair is now black and resembles a monster's hair. Mr. Bean and Irma approve of Mrs. Wicket's hairstyle. A long queue for the movie is shown outside Bean's flat so Mr. Bean readies the movie equipment.
The audience watching Bean's film.
Then it's night and the long queue is gone, leaving only the Bruiser Family, the neighbours. Bruiser Sr. hopes the movie will be good just as he pays Mrs. Wicket. When everyone is seated, Bean presses the button and the movie starts. The first scene shows Mr. Bean holding a lightning bolt and the next scene shows him and Irma in his Mini. Bruiser Sr. laughs at the movie, believing it to be rubbish. Irma rings the doorbell and the door opens by itself. Mr. Bean flips the light switch but the lights won't work so he turns on his flashlight and Irma screams. Miss Wince laughs and Mrs. Wicket shushes her. Both Mr. Bean and Irma go upstairs. The photo of Mr. Bean on the wall suddenly has eyes that move around, scaring a couple who is watching the movie. Mr. Bean opens the door to his room and suddenly a vampire hisses at them from the bed scaring the audience. Mr. Bean and Irma run downstairs to escape the vampire but the vampire is at the door, hissing at them again so they run to Mrs. Wicket's room.
Julia is shocked by her role in the movie she wasn't told all this time until now. Both Miss Wince and Irma approve of her acting.
Mr. Bean turns on the light switch and they get scared when they see Frankenstein's monster that wakes up. Mrs. Wicket is shocked when she sees herself as the monster. The audience gets scared at Frankenstein's monster. Miss Wince and Irma praise Mrs. Wicket for her role and she becomes happy when she realizes they like her role. Mr. Bean then says the best bit will start. Bean and Irma return to Bean's Mini but a bloody skeleton, which is actually Teddy, jumps to the Mini's front window, scaring both of them.
Mr. Bean bows to the audience, alongside his co-stars: Mrs. Wicket and Irma.
Then the movie ends. The audience applauds at the movie, cheering on how good it was. Then, Mr. Bean goes to the front and bows; and his costars; Irma and Mrs. Wicket go to the stage as well. The three of them bow and Irma kisses Bean on the cheek to which Bean wipes it off as usual. Mr. Bean then shows to the audience that Teddy is the monster at the end.
