Harry

Harry is a supporting character in the Animated Series, and the main antagonist of the episode The Visitor. He is voiced by Gary Martin.

Characteristics

Appearance

Harry is an obese man with dark hair, wearing a beige jacket and black pants. Sometimes he wears a cap with red and yellow stripes, that is a cap from his childhood.

Personality

Harry seems affable and goofy at first and smiles a lot, but underneath that, he is greedy for food, as he mooches off Bean by eating all of Bean's food without even sharing with him. Harry takes advantage of Bean's hospitality by letting him pay for every food that he will eat for himself, not sharing at all with Bean. He would go as far as to lie to Bean saying that he has no money just to steal Bean's ice cream and when Bean leaves Harry reveals he has money and he buys ice cream for himself (he can also be seen paying for the cab fare at night). Harry is hypocritical, getting angry at Bean for kicking him out of his flat when Bean had every right to do so due to Harry's constant mooching off him. In the end, Harry's obsession with food proves to be his downfall, as Bean tricked him into thinking that he will treat Harry in Restaurant La Cuisine, when in reality, Bean is only doing it to punish Harry for his greed, gluttony, and selfishness; Bean ditches Harry and Harry is forced to wash all the dishes because he doesn't have enough money.

Story

Harry is Mr. Bean's former kindergarten classmate. Harry eats too much and too fast, making him overweight. He is greedy and never stops eating and devours all the food in Mr. Bean's refrigerator. Mr. Bean wanted to kick him out of the house. His plan was half a success. Harry stole Teddy, so Mr. Bean had to chase Harry. Mr. Bean tries apologizing, and tricks Harry into thinking that Mr. Bean will pay him a free dinner at Restaurant La Cuisine. Harry orders everything at the restaurant, and Mr. Bean sneaks out of the restaurant via a window in the men's restroom. It's 2:08am and Bean hasn't arrived. The waiter tells the owner Bean is gone so Harry is forced to wash the dishes. While Harry is washing the large amount of dishes, Mr. Bean takes back Teddy from Harry's coat.

From his debut episode it is revealed that both Harry and Mr. Bean attended the same kindergarten/primary school.
After not seeing his old acquaintance for years, Mr. Bean forgot Harry's name and thought it's Fred at first.
- They also both have similar hats. In the picture shown by Harry in "The Visitor" we could see there's more people wearing same or similar hats as well.
