Plot[]
Mr. Bean is preparing turkey because Irma Gobb is coming for dinner. After peeling the potatoes, he pounds the table using a rolling pin, which makes the potatoes fly. Bean then dices the potatoes into chips with a rolling pin and a tennis racket. Now Bean places the chicken and chips in the oven and sets the timer of his alarm clock. Bean then relaxes in his hot tub and falls asleep. The turkey is finally ready and the alarm clock rings but it falls to the tub so Bean can no longer hear it and continues sleeping. Irma is now at the door and rings the doorbell and gets impatient because there's no answer so she rings again. While Bean is sleeping, a huge turkey is approaching and crushes his Mini and rings the doorbell. It breaks through the window and to the bathroom. Bean opens his eyes slightly and sees the huge turkey staring at him with its swirling eyes green to hypnotized him. Bean wakes up from his nightmare and picks up his alarm clock and sees that he just overslept. The turkey is now overcooked and burnt, and black smoke comes out of the oven. Bean coughs from the smoke and so he opens the window to let it out but it keeps falling down whenever he opens it. So Bean picks up a fork and puts it on the window after opening it so it never falls down. Bean wears goggles and snorkels so he must not smell the black smoke. He drops the burnt chip but the burnt chicken is stuck on the tray. While Bean is getting rid of the burnt chicken, Irma continues ringing the doorbell. Bean, no longer wanting to let his girlfriend wait any longer, crossly slams the burnt turkey and the tray in the trash can.
Irma impatiently looks through the mail slot and sees that Bean still hasn't gone down yet so she furiously rings the doorbell. While Bean is getting dressed as he approaches the door. Bean finally answers the door to Irma, who brought wine for Bean. She clears her throat at Bean, asking for what he'll give to her. Bean takes a rose out of a nearby vase and gives it to Irma. Irma actually wants to kiss Bean which he does so reluctantly and wipes it as usual. Irma acts like a turkey to Bean who does the same, and Bean suddenly remembers he just discarded the turkey because he overcooked it. At the table, Irma places the rose on the vase and then she gives her coat to Bean. She then reminds Bean to pull the chair for her to sit. Irma looks at the menu which has got the picture of the turkey, to which Bean snatches from her because he has got no turkey left. Irma then covers her nose because she can smell the burnt turkey from the kitchen; Bean then goes to the kitchen and takes the wine bottle from Irma. Bean decides to entertain Irma using the lizard mittens as puppets. After Bean closes the door, he sees a bird pecking a peanut butter sandwich so he shoos it. Bean checks the pantries and pulls out a carrot but it's entirely spoiled so he throws it away. Bean has got no food for their dinner yet, and spots a cheese in a mousetrap. A mouse appears and tries to eat the cheese but Bean stops it. Bean uses the tail of a broom to safely get the cheese without triggering by the mousetrap. Bean sees the bird has come back so he shoos it using the broom. Bean eats a bean from the peanut butter sandwich and likes it. Irma's stomach is growling just as Bean comes out and serves her with a cheese and bean on a stick, disappointing her. Irma finishes eating it and Bean runs back to the kitchen, still unable to find food for dinner.
Fortunately, Bean finds spaghetti in another pantry. Bean tries to boil it but he has no idea how and the noodles are too long for the pan. While Irma uses the same stick to clean her teeth, Bean sneaks to the bathroom and boils the spaghetti in his bathtub by applying candles underneath it. Bean pounds the spaghetti to the tub but it's a little hard so he has got to wait. Night comes and Bean is still boiling the spaghetti because the candles are still not hot enough to boil it quickly. Bean loses his patience and pounds the spaghetti to the tub, which is just too hard. Irma is starving so she eats the rose because it tastes good. Bean opens the bathroom door and Irma notices him, telling him that she thought he was in the kitchen. Bean is brushing his teeth while brushing them using his toothbrush, to which Irma is a little annoyed and has gone to the kitchen herself. Irma checks the oven and sees that there's no turkey there just as the bird comes back to eat a slice of bread. She tries to eat the bread but the pigeon takes it and flies away before coming when Irma leaves. The spaghetti is now cooked and Bean uses his toothbrush to pull it from the tub. Bean comes out of the bathroom, showing Irma that the spaghetti is ready. Back at the kitchen, Bean tries to serve it on the plates but there is no fork. Luckily, Bean has just removed the fork from the window, but suddenly to which the window falls down, crushing the pigeon. Suddenly, Bean gets realized & horrified that he just brutally killed the pigeon and accidentally throws the spaghetti to the sink to which it sinks down the drain. Bean gets extremely mad that he once again lost another food but then he decides to make the bird their dinner. Irma eats the stem and leaf of the rose and drinks from the flower vase. Bean removes the feathers of the pigeon and sees that it's a little small so he inflates it with an air pump to make it look like a roasted turkey chicken; he then places a cork in the hole so it should never deflate. Bean then heats the pigeon in the oven. Irma, finally losing her patience and knowing that there's no food, prepares to leave just as Bean comes out with the "turkey". Bean and Irma prepare to eat the "turkey", but Bean can't even slice it because it's just filled with air. Bean then forcefully pierces the "turkey" with the fork, which expels the air inside it and sends it flying through the window, breaking it. The bird then flies to the distance as it deflates. With their last food gone, Bean nervously asks Irma if she wants wine to which she furiously attacks him. They both notice the mouse and try to eat it, and fade to black ending the episode
Characters[]
Errors[]
- When the bird is eating the peanut butter on the bread, there are 4 beans. After Mr. Bean gets rid of the bird, we see 3 beans. However, when the camera focuses on the trash we see 4 beans again.
- The wings of the cooked bird are larger when Mr. Bean serves it.
- When we see the dead bird, we see 3 beans on the peanut butter, despite the fact that Mr. Bean ate one and served another to Irma, so that means there should be only 2 beans remaining.
- The fork disappears when Bean sees the spaghetti sink down the drain.
Trivia[]
- The episode was inspired by the turkey segment in the live-action series episode, Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean and the turkey scene in Bean (1997).
- All You Can Eat from Season 2 is more or less a sequel to this segment as both segments involve Mr. Bean needing to prepare dinner for himself and Irma.
