Dancing Bean is the 51st episode of Season 4 of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
Mr. Bean learns how to dance property to impress Irma.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Bean watching a race where he imitates their sounds. A knock is then heard and Irma is shown knocking the door. So Bean has to open the door. Irma changes the channel to a dancing show, annoying Bean. Irma enjoys the dance show while Bean doesn't like it. The winners are Couple#3 which is the couple dancing. The host then tells the audience that they could be their next winner. The next dance show is in the nearby park which Bean realizes it's their park. Bean tells Irma that they could join the competition but they can't dance. But Bean tells her that it's easy and they start dancing but he accidentally steps on Irma's feet. They continue dancing but Irma falls to the floor. Irma says they'll never be good enough to enter the competition and leaves. Bean goes to the dance studio to practice dancing.
Bean enters the dance class and the instructor tells the pianist to play the piano. The instructor then teaches Bean how to dance which Bean accidentally steps on her foot just like what he did to Irma earlier. They continue practicing when Bean accidentally steps on her skirt, ripping it and revealing her underwear. They then try again when Bean accidentally unties the knot, causing the disco ball to fall to the piano, angering the pianist so Bean removes it. They then try again and Bean is starting to get the hang of it until Bean accidentally releases her and she falls down the window. Realizing that the instructor is injured, Bean has to teach himself how to dance. Bean dances his way to the library and gets a book that says, How to Dance. Bean opens the book and turns to the dance page and practices dancing. Forgetting his steps, Bean has to go back to the book. So Bean has an idea so Bean photocopies the dance steps and places them on the floor so he can practice. Bean then practices dancing, accidentally hitting various people and knocking books down in the process. Bean tells Irma he now knows how to dance so he asks Irma to join him and they dance. He then tells Irma he'll meet her at the park after work. Bean leaves the library while still practicing how to dance while reading the book. While practicing, Bean accidentally enters a truck and a mover closes it. Bean realizes he's in the truck and he tries to tell the driver he's in the truck.
Night comes, and the truck arrives in the warehouse with Bean still inside. The driver opens the truck, revealing Bean inside. Bean looks at his watch and he realizes he's late for the competition so he runs there. Fortunately, he is able to board the bus while Irma waits impatiently for him outside the park. Bean arrives and Irma is angry at him for being late. He runs inside and believes there's still time. Unfortunately, the competition is over and winner is Couple#2. Bean, devastated, apologizes to Irma for arriving late and she leaves. Bean looks at the disco ball and he has an idea. Back in his flat, Bean arranges his room to make a dance show and he draws a man in his paper and attaches the paper on a vase. Bean then points the lamp to make it resemble a spotlight and Bean puts candy wrappers of various colors there to make it look like an actual disco. And he has finished gluing paper on his beach ball, making it look like an actual disco ball. So Bean drives to Irma's house and rings her doorbell. Irma answers the door and Bean tells her he found a new dancing competition. So he brings her to his flat which Irma tells him it's his house. They go to Bean's room and it now looks like an actual disco. Bean starts the record player and they start dancing. After the dance, Bean tells the "judges" (which are just drawings of faces attached to vases) to reveal their score. Bean lifts the first paper revealing 10; he lifts the second paper also revealing 10; and finally he lifts the third and final paper revealing yet another 10. Bean then tells Teddy to show his score and it's another 10. Bean then holds the trophy which is just made out of silver cardboard, saying that he won. Irma grabs the trophy because they won. Bean agrees to Irma that they won and he thanks Teddy.
