Coffee Bean is the 15th episode of Season 5 and 119th episode overall of the Animated Series.
Synopsis[]
After accidentally ordering a tiny cup of espresso which cost £5.00, Mr. Bean is determined to make the best cup of java ever and to get rich brewing it.
Plot[]
Bean is eating chocolate while walking on the street when it suddenly rains. A construction worker leaves his tent, turns off the faucet, and walks away, hitting Bean in the process. Needing to escape the rain, Bean goes to the front door of a coffee shop called Coffee Katz to dry himself when a woman enters the shop so Bean enters the shop as well. The woman orders coffee. Bean looks at the menu but can't decide so he asks the employee if he can recommend anything. The man points at the small coffee cup in the menu so Bean orders it. While preparing coffee, the employee does some fancy moves such as separating the shredder and the lid by jumping, making the coffee beans fly into the coffee bean shredder, and toots like the coffee brewer. The employee starts the coffee brewer and Bean's coffee is ready but the cup is small. When Bean asks is that it, the employee applies whipped cream and powder to the coffee. Bean pays the employee £5 when he realizes that it costs £5 for a small cup which is too expensive. Bean calls the coffee a rip-off because of it's small size. Bean tells the man to watch out and he orders cappuccino and he receives a huge cup.
Bean goes to the table when the man nearly hits him with the chair. Bean drinks his coffee and is disgusted by it whereas the woman enjoys hers. He gets more annoyed when he realizes it's finished already. Bean sees the employee serve coffee to other customers and Bean says he's getting a lot of money so he has an idea. Bean leaves Coffee Katz to go home under the rain. In Bean's kitchen, he gets several ingredients to make coffee and puts them in his basket and he departs. Then he comes back because he forgot his spoons. Bean returns to outside Coffee Katz to set up his coffee stall. He sees the construction worker leaving his tent to rest in the park. Bean goes to the tent to set up his own coffee stall. He cuts a hole on the side of the tent and opens his coffee stall. A man listening to his headphones hears Bean say coffee so he goes to him and he orders grande cappuccino. Bean gets his kettle and he realizes he doesn't have any water so he tells the customer to wait. He sneaks outside and gets water from the nearby faucet. Bean starts the kettle and he realizes there's no electricity so he looks for one in the toolbox but he finds a generator so he plugs the kettle there. He presses the button but still nothing happens so once again he tells the man to wait. The man, having had enough of waiting, leaves but Bean makes blending sounds so the man comes back. Bean puts milk in the mug but it needs froth so he gets a blower from a bicycle and he uses it on the milk to make bubbles. Bean then uses a file to grate the chocolate and gives the customer his coffee. The man drinks it and he likes it and he pays Bean. He tells the customers to try Bean's coffee because it's better. The next customer orders cappuccino and Bean once again makes blending noises to make the customers think he's blending coffee and he gives the coffee to the customer. Outside, Bean gets water from the nearby faucet and he gives the woman her coffee. The cyclist notices her blower is gone.
The employee of Coffee Katz goes outside when he notices his customers are gone and he sees Bean's coffee stall. The construction worker's break is over so he leaves the park and he sees Bean operating his coffee stall in his tent so he confronts him. Bean closes the window and hurriedly keeps his things when the Coffee Katz employee asks him for a job. Bean says yes while the construction worker looks for him. The employee goes to get some more when the construction worker goes inside and grabs Bean. Bean asks him if he wants coffee and the construction worker says on the house because Bean used his tent to set up a coffee stall. So the construction worker drops Bean and says he'll have the coffee with a tall glass. Bean tries to make one but he doesn't know how to use the coffee brewer. He pounds the brewer and steam comes out. Bean gets his coffee bean and the coffee brewer's heater is maxed out. He gets the tall glass and the brewer overheats and explodes. The employee comes out and sees the whole coffee shop is a mess; the brewer lands on the floor and Bean faints. To compensate for the damages he made, Bean pays the construction worker and the employee. With all his money gone, Bean sadly goes home. In his kitchen, Bean asks Teddy if he wants a cup of tea. He starts the kettle and he makes blending sounds just like earlier.
