When his car gives up the ghost and he is forced to sell it to the junkyard, Bean builds a hot-air balloon to get around town.
Plot[]
Bean stops at a red traffic light when a man wearing a yellow plaid scarf and driving a red car stops next to him, taunting him. So Bean revs the accelerator of his car so he can beat the driving blonde guy. When the traffic light changes to green, the blonde guy outraces Bean and his car stops. After he checks the engine, Bean pulls his car from behind, but stops because he got tired. He sees a truck in front of him so he attaches a hook so it can pull his car. The truck moves slowly and stops even, revealing it to be an ice cream truck selling ice cream to the kids, unamused and angered Bean.
He pulls his car all the way home. It is night time once he got there. Bean removes the engine parts from his car, so he can check to find out what is wrong with it. While checking, he spots a damaged electrical wire, relieving him because he thinks that is the only broken part. So he tapes it up and returns the engine parts back to his car until daybreak. Believing that his car is now fixed, Bean starts it, but it backfires, causing him to slam his head on the steering wheel in unamused.
Without any choice, Bean pushes his car to a scrapyard named Dickie Diddles' Garage. Dickie Diddles, the owner then comes out after counting his money. Bean shows the car's engine to Dickie Diddles, who is disappointed at the car's current state and says that it needs to be scrapped. He gives Bean £10 in compensation. Dickie Diddles orders his employee to crush the car, scrapping it and turning it to a cube. Bean does not want his lovely car to be destroyed, but then he buys flowers so he can bid a fond farewell to his car. So Dickie Diddles orders Bean's car to be crushed, just as Bean leaves sadly. When he sees that Bean is gone, Dickie Diddles tells his employee to stop and he cleans off the excess oil and dirt residue in the engine's fuel distributor and hijacks the car when it finally works again.
Later, Bean buys a hot-air-balloon to replace his car. While setting up the balloon, he sews his trousers to the hole, but sees that there is another hole. So Bean finds Wicket's knickers and sews it to the last hole; he draws her knickers on a cardboard box and hangs it as replacement. Bean then paints the balloon with black paint to make it in the same colour as his car. He then places some equipment in the basket, including oars, gas cylinders, a bicycle, and a stove.
When Bean finishes assembling his balloon, he marvels at its appearance. Bean lifts the anchor and the balloon rises into the air and it starts flying. While flying, Bean wears the pilot’s cap. Wicket picks up the milk and drops the milk bottle in shock, causing it to break; Scrapper happily drinks the spilled milk. Bean is now flying over London and he sees birds flying. His sausages are ready so he gets them from the gas stove powering the balloon. Bean eats one sausage and puts the frying pan on the edge of the basket, but it accidentally falls down, hitting the Reliant on the road below and crashing it. Bean is entering clouds that he cannot wipe off, surprising him when the birds fly pass him. So he rings the bicycle bell as he enters the clouds. A little boy buys a big, red balloon from the balloon salesperson and he starts floating upwards. Bean catches the boy and brings him down to his mother. Bean then ascends once again saying goodbye to them. Suddenly, they warning as told Bean that he is about to get close to dangerous high voltage electricity transmission lines, but Bean still says goodbye, paying no heed to their warning. Bean turns around and gets scared in danger when he sees that he is approaching the electricity wires. Bean tries to increase the power of the stove but the gas is finished, so he lights a match that instantly powers the stove to full, shocking Bean and making him fall to the edge of the basket. Bean is able to safely fly over the electrical cables.
While Bean is looking through his binoculars spyglass, he sees that Dickie Diddles had stole his car, so he plans to recover it back. Bean approaches his car, but he is about to drive through a tunnel. He drops a sandbag so his balloon can rise higher. At the other end of the tunnel, Bean prepares an anchor and drops it on the rear bumper of his car; Bean pedals fast so he can rise higher; he increases the power of the stove so he can rise higher and pull the car upwards. Bean connects the oxygen tank to the stove, raising its power to full, giving it enough strength to pull the car higher. Dickie Diddles opens the door and hangs on the edge, screaming and whimpering in panic. When they are directly over a pond, Bean drops the second sandbag on Dickie Diddles, sending him plummeting into the water below. Bean successfully takes his car back as the flying birds poop on him right after he spits out some water, leaving him disgusted. Bean lands the balloon home and recovers his car; he says goodbye to his hot-air-balloon as it floats away. Bean is happy to have his car back and finally drive it again.
The next day, he is back at the red traffic light where he encounters the driver of the red car from earlier. The light turns green and the driver of the red car speeds past Bean just as Bean's hot-air-balloon lands on him, causing him to stop. Bean drives past him while the driver tries to find a way out.
