Mr. Bean is feeling down. Everyone has forgotten his birthday - and to make it worse Mrs. Wicket is having a noisy party downstairs.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Mr. Bean opening envelopes. He is feeling down because there's not even one birthday card for him in the letters. So he cuts the Pop cereal box and draws candles on the cereal and puts it inside the envelope to make it seem like he received a birthday card. He stands up and looks away, then feigns surprise when he sees his "birthday card". He opens the envelope and is happy when he receives his "birthday card" and thanks Teddy. Mr. Bean places his "birthday card" on the fireplace and places the flower pot on the table to make it seem like a present. Bean feigns surprise when he sees his "present" and places it on the fireplace.
Suddenly, Mr. Bean hears noises coming from downstairs. He looks through the window and sees a long line of people entering Mrs. Wicket's flat. He is happy that there's a party so he goes downstairs but he is stopped by Bill possessing as a security guard because there's a queue even though Mr. Bean lives in the flat. So Bean goes outside to wait in the queue. While waiting, he dances, sings a song and grabs the elderly man but he doesn't want to dance. Finally, Mr. Bean got to the beginning of the queue but Bill asks for an invitation which Bean doesn't have so he can't enter. Mr. Bean tells him that he lives upstairs and he knows Mrs. Wicket but Bill tells him if he hasn’t got an invitation, he isn’t allowed in, Bean tries to go in anyway but Bill stops him. He points at something to distract Bill but he sees him sneak to Mrs. Wicket's room so he gets Bean and throws him outside.
Mr. Bean sees an elderly woman holding an invitation card so he pretends to be a guard and asks for an invitation to which she gives him her invitation. He returns to the flat and gives the invitation card to Bill. He reads the card that has the name of Mrs. Ethel Scroggins. Bean realizes that the invitations have the names of the guests so he lies to him she couldn't make it but a while later she arrives. Ethel smacks Bean with her cane for stealing her invitation and lying to Bill. So he throws Bean out again. Bean returns and Bill blocks the entrance to which Bean tells him he's going upstairs.
Mr. Bean decides to exit through the window from his flat and climbs down the pipe. He says "hello" to the two guests through the window outside. Bill sees him so Bean is forced to leave. Soon, he returns with some balloons covering his face, telling Bill he's delivering the balloons for Mrs. Wicket. He knows that it is Mr. Bean behind the balloons so he pops all the balloons using a key. He once again throws Bean out. A man with a long, yellow jacket enters so Bean hides under his jacket to enter Mrs. Wicket's room without Bill seeing him. He tells the man to remove his coat but Bean under it accidentally says: "No, thank you". Bill then uncovers Bean so he throws him outside once again. Mr. Bean is back in his room, sad because he couldn't go to the party. He then comes up with an idea. He draws a cake with him hidden inside it on paper.
Mr. Bean goes downstairs and blows a raspberry at Bill. He goes to the shack to build something while the sun begins to set. He puts the cake in front of the entrance to the flat and hides inside it. Soon, two guests arrive when they see the large cake in front of them. Believing it to be for the party, they carry it. They tell Bill it's for delivery but he tells them that it can't be for them because they already have a cake. So the two men bring the cake upstairs. Inside the cake, Bean is chuckling not knowing that the two men are actually bringing the cake to his room. After the two men leave, Bean comes out of the cake and says, "Surprise!", only to realize that he is in his room. Then he notices a letter underneath his mat after it moved a bit. He opens the envelope and he realizes there's an invitation for him. So he goes downstairs and proudly shows his invitation to Bill and he finally lets him in. He enters Mrs. Wicket's room and dances happily but the party ends moments after he arrived. He is devastated because the party's already over just as Bill tells Wicket he's off to his house. Mrs. Wicket sees Bean and she asks him where has he been because he missed his party. She tells everyone that the birthday boy has finally arrived. Bill realizes the man he's been preventing from entering the party is actually the birthday boy himself and asks Bean why didn't he say anything. Bean says that he didn't know. Mrs. Wicket wishes Mr. Bean happy birthday and Bean is happy because it turns out everybody remembered his birthday.
