Synopsis[]
Mr. Bean digs up Bruiser Sr.'s medallion and rushes off to the local museum convinced he’s found valuable treasure.
Plot[]
Mr. Bean is watching TV in his room, bored, so he changes the channels but none of the channels entertain him. Then Bean changes a channel to a valuable coin that the narrator says is worth £1,000,000, and Bean becomes curious because of its worth. The narrator says it was dug up in Brenda's garden. The woman in the museum is delighted they have the £1,000,000 coin in the museum. Bean, thinking he may find a valuable coin, goes to the garden to dig up one. While digging, Bean tells Teddy it's exhausting. Mrs. Wicket goes to Bean asking what is he up to. Bean tells Wicket he's just helping in the garden and carries pots of flowers. Wicket tells Bean to leave it tidy. Bruiser Sr. cheers because he defeated his son in soccer and he removes his shirt to celebrate, removing his gold medallion in the process that lands in the hole Bean just dug.
Bean finds Bruiser Sr.'s gold medallion in the hole, thinking that he just dug up a valuable coin in the garden. Bean tells Teddy they're rich and runs to the museum but Wicket blocks him with her cane, causing him to drop the medallion that Wicket picks up. Wicket reminds Bean to clean her garden. Bean tells her he'll clean her garden after he comes back from the museum; Wicket tells Bean he better clean her garden. Bean drives to the museum to have the medallion valued. He arrives at the reception and shows the receptionist Bruiser Sr.'s gold medallion which Bean believes is treasure and asks him who to show it to. The receptionist tells Bean go upstairs, go right, and first on the left. Bean goes upstairs and the receptionist tells Bean they're closing in 10 minutes.
Bean approaches the woman and shows her Bruiser Sr.'s gold medallion that he found in the garden. She looks at it and tells Bean to sit on the chair to wait. Back at the garden, Bruiser Sr. realizes his medallion is missing. Hearing what Bruiser Sr. said, Wicket knocks on the wall to get his attention; she tells him Bean has taken it to the museum. Bean is waiting and he gets bored. So he pulls out Teddy and shows him a statue of a Roman warrior fighting a lion. He returns to the chair to wait for the medallion. Then he hears something so he goes there. Bean sees a kid playing a game and the screen shows Italy; every time the kid presses a button, a Roman warrior appears. Bean sees statues of Roman soldiers so he marches to pass the time. The woman inspects the medallion and says it's fake. Her phone rings and she answers it. She apologizes and she'll be right there and she leaves her office. Outside, she notices Bean is gone so she leaves the medallion on her table and leaves; she locks the door. The kid continues playing the game and Bean dresses up as a Roman soldier, scaring the kid and making him run away. Once the kid's gone, Bean plays the game and the guard taps him. Bean, not knowing it's the guard, tells him to get off. The guard grabs Bean, removes the Roman soldier gear off of him and tells him out. Bean tells the guard he hasn't finished and the guard throws him out and locks the door. Bean realizes he forgot the medallion and tries to get the guard's attention but he ignores him.
Bruiser Sr. appears behind Bean, telling Bean it's his medallion. Bean questions Bruiser Sr. if it's his medallion and Bruiser Sr. shows him the empty necklace; Bean realizes he took Bruiser Sr.'s medallion by mistake. He tells Bruiser Sr. his medallion is in the museum. Bruiser Sr. tells Bean he better get it. He brings him to the back and tells Bean to go to the window upstairs to retrieve it. Bean tells Bruiser Sr. it's too high so Bruiser Sr. gets a ladder from a nearby cleaning truck and tells Bean to climb it. Bean doesn't want because he's scared of heights to which Bruiser Sr. tells him to get on with it. So Bean climbs the ladder and enters the window and falls to a Roman carriage that starts moving when Bean landed on it. The carriage moves down the stairs. Bean hears a flush and the guard comes out of the restroom. The guard sees the carriage on the floor and Bean hides behind another exhibit. He sneaks upstairs so the guard won't spot him. Bean sees Bruiser Sr.'s medallion in the woman's office but the door is locked. So he decides to take the keys from the guard. Bean gets a fishing rod from a fisherwoman exhibit. The guard turns on a computer where he watches Frankenstein's Monster. Bean uses the fishing rod to fish the keys but he fishes the chair instead. The guard gets scared of Frankenstein's Monster and he sits again but the chair rolls backwards, causing him to fall on his back. Bean hides while the guard thinks someone's in the museum so he pulls out a flashlight. Bean hides from the flashlight. While the guard is inspecting the area, Bean tries to secretly take the keys from him. So Bean hides behind the shields of the Roman warriors. The guard points at the shields and Bean tries to take the keys using the staff but the guard hears something to he points the flashlight at it.
Bean grabs the keys but he accidentally knocks the statue's head off using the rear of the staff. Hearing that, the goes to the statue to investigate. Bean successfully takes the keys using the rear part of the staff. He returns upstairs to unlock the door of the office but the keys he uses are wrong keys. Bean drops the keys, and the guard hears it so he runs upstairs. He goes inside the office before the guard can spot him. The guard points his flashlight at the office to see if someone's there. Bean takes back Bruiser Sr.'s medallion and he goes outside. The guard spots him so Bean flees from the guard. While fleeing, Bean grabs a net and throws it at the guard, trapping him inside. Bean slides down the stairs via the banister and he unlocks the main door. When Bean gets outside, he locks the door, trapping the guard inside. Bean returns Bruiser Sr.'s medallion to him. He leaves the keys on the stairs. The next day, Bean is cleaning the garden while Wicket is watching him. Bean digs and he hits something metallic. He finds a valuable coin just like the coin shown on TV. But he changes his mind because it's too much trouble and drops it back to the ground.
