Bean Painting is the 36th episode of Season 4 and 88th episode overall of the Animated Series.
Synopsis.[]
While painting a picture of Teddy, Mr. Bean accidentally splashes green paint onto the wall. He goes to the DIY store and buys two cans of brown paint, but accidentally takes another customer's green paint cans home instead. When Bean arrives home, he paints the entire wallpaper green and experiences a series of two nightmares.
Plot.[]
The episode starts with Bean painting a picture of Teddy above his TV. Bean then looks at his Mini and decides to use the green paint to paint his picture. The background of his painting is now green... but he accidentally squirts the green paint onto the wall. Wicket then enters his room, so he has to cover the paint from her. She asks Bean what he is doing and he shows her he is painting a picture of Teddy above his TV. When Wicket leaves, Bean sees a ripped part of his wallpaper and removes it. Mr. Bean arrives at the DIY store just in time to prevent the Reliant from parking. He goes to the store and finds the wallpaper that resembles his wallpaper... but it costs £30, so he decides to buy paint instead when he sees there's a huge sale from 20 to £5. Bean buys two cans of brown paint just as a customer places his two cans of green paint near Bean's paint cans. (laughter) Bean accidentally takes the other customer's green paint cans home. As Bean drives away, the customer notices the cans are brown, realising Bean took his green paint cans away by mistake.
Bean then arrives home and opens his paint can, only to realise it's green inside. But Bean paints the wall anyway to check if the shade of green is the same as the paint on the wall. Bean says "hi" to Wicket when he sees her from his window, hiding his paintbrush from her; Wicket wonders what is Bean up to again. Bean then says ''bye'' and closes his curtains. Bean then paints his wall by drawing a picture of Wicket as a monster. Then Bean paints another drawing when he hears Wicket come back inside. Later, Bean is done painting his walls and he is now tired. He hears Wicket calling Scrapper outside. Bean likes the new color of his wall and he feels tired while he's watching Super Spy. Bean then turns the TV off and goes to sleep. While Bean is sleeping, he hears Wicket knocking his door, so he answers it. Wicket sees the green wallpaper, so she tells him to paint it back as it was or he's out. Two seconds later, a white truck arrives and four Wickets, all of whom are holding two brown paint cans, come out of it, confusing him. The four Wickets then enter Bean's room and paint it brown. One Wicket then throws Bean's car keys out the window, where another Wicket catches them. Bean looks out the window where he sees a Wicket painting his Mini brown. Bean runs outside to stop the seven Wickets from painting his Mini brown. Then the four Wickets walk over Bean, they laugh at him and drive away in his Mini.
Bean wakes up from his nightmare and sees his walls are still green, much to his relief. He then looks out the window and sees his Mini is still green, relieved when he realises it was just a bad dream. Bean goes back to sleep when he hears a knock; when he reaches the door, he realizes the knock is coming from his window. He opens his curtains, revealing a giant Wicket outside, leaving him terrified. The giant Wicket removes the roof and Bean tries to flee from her. Bean runs outside just in time to avoid getting caught by the monster Wicket, then he runs back inside. He digs through his cabinet and gets his jet pack out. Bean goes outside and activates his jet pack to get away from the monster Wicket. The monster Wicket steps on his Mini, crushing it, and she eats it. She then lets out a huge burp, disgusting Bean. Angry, Bean decides to fight back only for his jet pack to run out of fuel and he falls to the ground. The monster Wicket grabs Bean, but her stomach starts aching and she vomits green paint along with the wreckage of Mr. Bean's Mini.
Epilogue: Bean then wakes up from his second nightmare. Wicket then returns home holding two grocery bags and sees Bean's wallpaper is now green. While Bean is sleeping, Wicket knocks on his door, so he answers it again. Wicket tells Bean to change the colour back to the way it was... but Bean doesn't listen because he thinks he's having another dream. Bean gets a paint can from the table and empties the bucket on Wicket's head, infuriating her. Bean gets scared when he realises it's not a dream at all. Wicket then furiously yells at Bean it's not a dream at all. Bean licks the cloth and wipes Wicket using it... but she stops him and yells at him. Later, Bean is putting his wallpaper back at the wall while Wicket is watching him while drinking tea. Wicket tells him to hurry up, much to his annoyance.

- On Boomerang Asia, Boomerang Latin America, Cartoon Network Asia and Cartoon Network HD Asia, the part where Mrs. Wicket vomits in Mr. Bean's second nightmare was cut due to it being gross. It was also cut in the later airings on Boomerang UK.

- The episode has the same plot idea from Do-It-Yourself Mr. Bean.
- Bean's nightmare about Mrs. Wicket is based on the oyster nightmare from Mr. Bean in Room 426 and the movie nightmare from Scaredy Bean.
- Like Scaredy Bean, after waking up and meet Mrs. Wicket again, Bean counterattacks her.
- In both of the dreams, Mr. Bean's Mini is destroyed which is probably why he checks his car to make sure it's not a dream at all.
